The Marines May Guard The Gates To Heaven But The Seabees Built The Gates And Paved The Way To Them Shirt

Friendly rivalry with a builder’s grin runs through this design, aimed at anyone who knows which crew poured the concrete first. The line reads “The Marines may guard the gates to heaven, but the Seabees built the gates and paved the way to them,” a jab with a wink.

A cartoon bee in a white sailor cap charges forward on speed lines, gripping a machine gun, a wrench and a hammer in white-gloved hands, with patches on its navy sleeves. Bold white capitals alternate with yellow brush lettering, and a white ribbon banner sets up the SEABEES reveal.

Wear it to a Seabee reunion, a Veterans Day parade or the backyard barbecue where a Marine buddy is sure to argue the point. It also suits a dad, grandpa or uncle who served with the Seabees and still fixes whatever breaks at family gatherings.
